Dissonance
Written by Craig Pospisil
Directed by Tania Maxwell
Performed by Tania Maxwell & Michael Lister
“Dissonance may not sound pretty, but it’s alive. It means something’s happening. That life is struggling to go on, to lift itself up.” As Dissonance opens we see a deflated Fitz setting up the memorial service of Mrs Helen Roberts. Within in minuets of him entering the stage we are then introduced to Tricia the uptight daughter of Mrs Roberts. We journey through their conversations and as the two continue to talk, rebut and challenge each other, each piece of information helps them move from unrest into a sense of completion.

A one act, two murders, three women comedy! A group of long suffering wives meet weekly to help each other quell their desires to murder their husbands. But when one wife snaps, her best friend in the support group must find a way to conceal the murder, while at the same time getting revenge on her own husband for his latest sexual indiscretion. A fun, rollicking farce, this very contemporary Australian comedy proves the old adage – cunning trumps stunning every time!
